Make Depth Adjustments from the Cab

Adjusting depth on your planter is time-consuming. SmartDepth saves you time and gives you the confidence that each row is set right where you need it to be. 

SmartDepth replaces your traditional depth adjustment handle that requires you to get out of the planter to adjust. With the SmartDepth module installed, depth changes are now made with the push of a button on the 20|20® monitor in the cab. No more stopping and getting out to change depth. 

 

Inform Your Depth Decisions by Pairing SmartDepth with SmartFirmer

Digging a few seeds per field doesn’t give you a complete picture of whether your depth setting is correct. SmartFirmer® is an in-furrow seed firmer that measures the amount of moisture available to the seed, so you can adjust your depth correctly and know you will have a consistent crop stand. 

When the information about the moisture available to the seed is shown on your 20|20 monitor along with the SmartDepth control button, you can see when you have plenty of moisture and could go shallower, or when you won’t have enough moisture for your seeds and need to increase depth to be deeper. Information from your furrow to know when to adjust, and one button push to make an adjustment, right from the cab.
